[Hyper Japan 2014 after Party @Comedy Pub 25/07/2014]
We'll be hosting the first Hyper Japan after party in association with Dead or alive promotions on Friday 25th It's a breeze to get to from Hyper Japan, simply head up to Picadilly circus on the Picadilly line.
Across from Japan comes the colourful and crazy world of fashion brand and live band broken doll. This will also be a great opportunity to see Yanakiku in a club/live setting where everyone can get properly immersed.
Along side this we'll be having regulars Colors playing their J-Rock and sideways inspired music alongside Dj's from LAN Cheeky spinning an eclectic mix of sounds from Japan.
Broken Doll is a fashion brand run by the Japanese band, which is same name as the brand since 2006: http://brokendoll.jp/top.html.
The band members have established themselves as Harajuku Street Fashion icons through their activities in the music and fashion scene. They design their fashion lines by themselves and also work as brand models, with icons such as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu wearing creations from the team.
I miss You:
Reach for the sky (no not that one....):
Japanese Pop female vocal adn cosplay duo YANAKIKU formed in 2012. As vocalists of the J-Pop group Missing Link, Yana and Kiku achieved 100,000 downloads in only a month from Japan’s music ringtone service Chaku-Uta and released their first song from EPIC Records Japan Inc. Channelling both mainstream and sub-cultural Japanese
influences, this cool and quirky decora influenced J-pop duo have a unique perspective on the world.
Originally formed in Japan and reformed over in London, Colors blast out a variety of J-Rock and 80's/90's inspired music, with diversions into areas such as d'n'b... and a band I also happen to play drums for. Come along before another band member emigrates/returns to Japan!
The massively successful Lancheeky nights will be familiar with regulars to our site amongst many others. They'll be spinning a diverse range of Japanese sounds from J-POP, ROCK & Punk through to dance, Hip-Hop and beyond...
